Success Stories

I rescued Zeek when he was 2 (he is 14.5 now) from Animal Friends in my community, and from then on he has been the ruler of my house. Guests are told to not be fooled by his smile; it is a trick to get your defenses down before his sneak attack. But if he loves you, he truly loves you.

He loves fetch, going for walks, sniffies in the car, staring at you as you eat your food, getting treats at his favorite drive thru.

Zeek had a seizure a few months ago and that started us down a path no fur mom wants to go through…cancer…he also has a heart murmur, and eye ulcers. Due to the many vet appointments, specialists, and other expenses, I have spent thousands to get Zeek figured out, and taken care of.

Brown Dog Foundation was recommended by one of the vets, and I applied for assistance, the process was quite easy, and the Grant Manager was wonderful. The assistance that they have given me has allowed me to have the heart murmur looked at and taken care of.
