Jewels

National, MN - 2013

How did Jewels come to live with us you ask? Well, she was only about 4-5 months old and lived right next door to us OUTSIDE in a little 4x4 kennel with 2 BIG male dogs. Every day she would greet me at the kennel and i just fell in love with her. One day she was gone and I asked the neighbors what had happened to her. They said she jumped out their car window when they were at the park and they couldn't find her. They said if I found her I could have her because they couldn't afford to get her out of puppy jail (the pound here in town). So that is the first place I looked and sure enough I heard her crying and all by herself. So I talked to my husband and the chief of police at the time and I scraped the money together and she came to live with us.

Jewels has been my companion since July of 2009. It was very hard to leave her at the vet when she had to have the procedure done. She greets me at the door when I come home from work, she sleeps right next to me in the bed, and she is doing great after the removal of the lump.

She is a trooper!
