Fraya

AZ - 2022

Fraya is doing great. The first night after surgery was really rough on her but now she’s acting more like herself again!

I adopted Fraya when she was a few months old from a local rescue, since both of my senior dogs had passed and I was dog-less for a couple years. Having Fraya has not been easy vet bill-wise; she’s had pretty nasty UTIs and for the last six months, had a limping problem that was finally diagnosed as medial coronoid disease. Without surgery as soon as possible, the disease would destroy her elbow cartilage, making her more lame and causing early arthritis to be a reason for early euthanasia.

I was so upset that I wasn’t able to give Fraya the medical treatment she needed at only one year old. That’s why I’m so grateful for Brown Dog Foundation! They swooped in when I needed help most and I will never forget what they’ve done for Fraya and me. Thank you Brown Dog!

The day of the surgery was one of the most stressful days I’ve had all year and it was so nice to have them on my side and work so well with the vet - it truly made a difference and I felt able to relax financially and emotionally. I plan to pay it forward and donate in 2023!

Fraya was a recipient of the VetBilling Repayment Plan. His parents will pay for the treatment she required over time.
