Dante

National, TN/FL - 2014

I have had Dante since he was a puppy and at 5 years old he suddenly started experiencing grand maul seizures and began phenobarbital. Within a few months Dante has started having cluster seizures and ended up with multiple hospitalizations and uncontrollable cluster seizures lasting at times over 36 hours. There were several times I feared that I was going to lose my beloved dog Dante.

At this point I decided to take Dante to the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine for consultation. It was my worst fear that Dante had a brain tumor however, Dante was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy genetic in nature. Since University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine is on the cutting edge of technology some major changes were made to Dante's medication and the cluster seizures are now under control. UT recommended Brown Dog Foundation to me for assistance with partial costs of Dante's medication to give me the time needed to take necessary steps to bettering my financial situation.

At the beginning of 2014 Dante's medication costs had risen to over $350.00 per month, without the assistance that Brown Dog Foundation has provided my beloved gorgeous beautiful German Shepherd would simply not be alive today. I am extremely grateful for Brown Dog Foundation and the assistance provided for Dante's medication.
