Five years ago, I did not expect to adopt a dog. But when we saw Coco when he was 3 months old, it was love at first sight. He became a part of the family. He was a happy, playful, loving and sweet boy.
Until last year, he was diagnosed with some infection or fungus on his paws. That's where the problems began. I took him to the vet so many times and it seems like the infection keeps coming back. I did not know what was causing it. They said it could be allergies. The infection on his paws or feet has gotten serious. There was a foul smell and some bleeding. That really made me worry.
At the same time, I was having a financial hardship because I'm a single mother of three kids and I also go to school. My income was not enough.
I started searching for organization who could help me financially with Coco's clinic costs. And I found Brown Dog Foundation. I prayed and hoped that someone would have the heart to help my dog. I was surprised and so happy to hear from Brown Dog Foundation. They have approved my application and granted me a gift. It was such a blessing and I can't thank Brown Dog Foundation and the donors enough for saving Coco.
