I wanted to thank Brown Dog Foundation again for the grant I received for my pet Bruno. As we all know this is a difficult time for everyone due to Covid19 and employment. I have been greatly affected and have had to ask for donations to survive. I have had Bruno since 2007 after purchasing him from a pet store. I do not have any children but feel like he is my blessing and as close to a child as I will get. Needless to say, I love him with all my heart.

 

I was devastated when I spoke to my vet and he gave me a quote for various test that Bruno needed to move forward with our plan of action for treatment. As I am not working and do not have any income I was concerned about paying the bill for the test and medicine. I went online and started searching for foundations that may be able to assist me. I came across Brown Dog Foundation and started the application process. It was thorough but moved rather quickly. The grant manager made everything clear and communicated throughout the process. I had a short timeframe and it was met with no issues.

 

I received an approval letter which allowed for the testing and medications Bruno needed. I could not have done this without Brown Dog Foundation. Bruno is home and responding to the medication. I am eternally grateful for your assistance in my time of need.

 

PUPdate: July 17, 2020: Bruno's heart gave out unexpectedly. His mom was with him.
