Molly

CA - 2021

“The chance to have Molly in our lives came suddenly and without warning, and in a way something like fate. Our family had been missing the presence of a furry friend since the passing of our former dog a few years ago, and a family member reached out saying their dogs had a litter and were trying to find them all good homes.

Molly had been a complete and unexpected surprise, unsure of how we’d be able to handle a dog with our own rocky situation, but the moment we picked her up and took her home, it was like a puzzle piece falling into place. We all joke time and time again that Molly must have been with us in another life, because her dopey grin and her little scratches to try to get an extra bite at the dinner table feel like they’ve always been with us. Molly makes the family complete, she’s our everything.

Unfortunately, even with great care and love, hereditary health issues can be an issue for anyone, and Molly wasn’t excluded from this. We all do our best to make sure she’s well and healthy, because our financial situation is always tight and rocky, and we can’t afford major surgeries. The thought of anything happening to Molly and being unable to come up with the funds to get her the help we need was a nightmare for all of us.

When the time came and we found out Molly’s health was in danger and she required surgery, the Brown Dog foundation was able to come to our aid and offer us even the slightest bit of relief. They worked so hard to try to communicate with our vet and to make sure we got the help we needed to make sure our family member was safe and sound."
