When I met Daniel I had three wonderful rescue dogs: two Mini Dobermans (Boo Boo and Yodi) and an English Shepherd (Buddy). Soon the five of us became one big furry family and it was clear that all three dogs played a huge role in our lives. They depend on us for food, shelter, love and training. They give back love and everlasting friendship that no human could ever give in the same manner. With that said, the thought of people not leaving their homes because they had no where to place their pets during Katrina and Sandy made it clear what animals mean to human beings.    

What I have learned through volunteering, researching, meeting and talking to people about their pets is one common fear… the fear that one day they will not have the financial resources to help save their pet’s life from an unexpected accident or illness. Fortunately, there are wonderful charities like Brown Dog Foundation to help families in need during serious medical treatments needed for their animals. The Brown Dog Foundation has given more than 200 families several more years with their pets and thanks to constant donations many more pets will be saved.

At this stage of our lives we have everything we need. The thought of our wedding helping people is the best gift you can give us. This is a unique opportunity to share our love for animals and help a worthy cause. ALL donations are 100% tax-deductible.
